The Emerging Technology Artist role

Black Kite is an independent creative studio offering world-class visual effects and design. We are a talent-first, technology-inspired studio: a collective of artists, creators, designers, producers and technologists who come together to make exceptional visual content.

We’re looking for an Emerging Technology Artist who can make AI imagery live convincingly inside real footage. You’ll work alongside our Emerging Technology Creative, Creative Directors and lead artists, from early ideas and pitch treatments through to live projects.

We’re interested in talent, not titles. Whether you’re an industry veteran who has moved into AI or a self-taught artist who has mastered these tools on your own terms, your work is what matters.

What you’ll be doing

• Integrating AI-generated elements into live-action footage so they’re indistinguishable from what was filmed.

• Building and running image and video workflows on real commercial projects.

• Training models and LoRAs to match specific looks, products and director aesthetics.

• Working with our compositing artists to bring AI and high-end VFX together.

• Helping shape visual ideas during treatments and pitches.

• Trying new tools as they land, and sharing what works and what doesn’t.

Compositing, tracking or production experience is a bonus, not a requirement. You might come from VFX, photography, design, fashion, motion or somewhere else entirely.
