The 2D ARTIST ROLE at BLACK KITE
As a 2D Artist at Black Kite you are responsible for delivering creative excellence from pitch through to delivery, across a range of high profile creative VFX projects. You work closely with VFX Supervisors and Leads to seamlessly integrate all layers or elements of a shot, including live-action and CG elements.
You will establish looks for visual effects shots, driving both the creative and technical approach. You have knowledge of a range of compositing techniques and workflows. You will collaborate with the VFX Team and Producers to deliver outstanding VFX work on time and on budget.
Your responsibilities include:
Create outstanding creative VFX work!
Seamlessly integrate live action and computer-generated elements into visual effects shots that realise the vision and creative direction of our clients
Develop visual solutions for a broad range of shots in collaboration with the VFX Supervisor and other artists
Use a wide range of compositing techniques and processes including but not limited to: 2D tracking, matte extraction, layering of elements, and colour grading to produce beautiful work.
Collaborate and proactively communicate with the wider VFX team to ensure we deliver creative excellence at all times
Why YOU?
You have a history of delivering outstanding VFX work across Commercials, TV or Film.
You have strong working knowledge of Flame or Nuke and other industry standard compositing software.
You have a great eye and a problem-solving attitude.
You are a team player and an excellent problem solver.
You are ambitious and strive to deliver excellence at all times.
You have a strong understanding of the whole VFX pipeline.
You are keen to learn and always look for opportunities to expand your skills.
